Supervision for the road to clinical licensure
Board-approved clinical supervision in Kansas and Missouri, from a clinician with 22 years in the chair and 9 years supervising.
Who this is for
You've finished your degree and passed your exam, and now you're seeing clients under someone else's license. That stretch between graduate school and independent practice is a threshold. What you learn there shapes the kind of clinician you become.
I supervise pre-licensed counselors working toward:
Kansas: LPC to LCPC
Missouri: PLPC to LPC
I'm a Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor in both states.
What supervision with me is like
Supervision isn't just a box to check before licensure. It's a working relationship, and it should make you a better clinician, not just a compliant one.
In our sessions we'll staff your cases, sharpen your conceptualization, and talk honestly about what's happening for you in the room. Expect a strong emphasis on trauma-informed practice and on ethics. You'll also get a professor's habit of asking why the method works, not just how.
My goal is for you to leave with your own clinical identity, not a copy of mine.
Format and fees
Individual supervision, 60 minutes, $175
In person in the Kansas City metro area or Lawrence, KS, or virtual
Paid at booking
Before your first session
Both states require paperwork on file before your supervision hours count. In Kansas, that means filing a Clinical Supervision Training Plan with the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board. I'll walk you through it at our first meeting, so you don't lose any hours.

Common questions
Can we meet virtually?
Yes. We can meet virtually, or in person in the Kansas City metro area or Lawrence, whichever works best for you.
What if I need to miss a session?
Cancel or reschedule through your booking confirmation at least 24 hours ahead.
I also want EMDR consultation. Is that separate?
Yes. EMDR consultation has its own page and pricing. Many supervisees add it once they've completed EMDR basic training.
